Meeting of the Cellular Proteolysis group of the SFBBM and COST PROTEOCURE - May 22 to 24, 2023

Bertrand Friguet and Chahrazade El Amri are co-organizing a meeting in May 22-24th 2023 which will take place at the Campus les Cordeliers in Paris. This meeting will be a joint meeting with the "Cell Proteolysis" group of the SFBBM (French Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and the Proteocure Working Group 1 (WG1) (an EUROPEAN COST ACTION), which involves more than 190 laboratories.

The purpose of WG1 is to set up task forces that bring together laboratories working on pathologies or biological processes to share knowledge and results, models, approaches and innovative technical tools and develop therapeutic options in a multidisciplinary way.

The general theme of the meeting is proteostasis and its multifaceted impact on biological and pathological processes in both animals and plants. Bringing together the French proteolysis community, which is also largely involved in Proteocure and WG1, constitutes a very fruitful opportunity to synergize and disseminate the scientific impact of Proteocure.

The sessions are scheduled as follows, they recapitulate the main scientific topics of WG1 in line with the French Cell Proteolysis Group of SFBBM: Aging and Neurodegenerative Disorders, Inflammation, Cancer, Autophagy, Omics and Drug Design, Host-Pathogen Interactions.
